How to Set Up a Proxy in Afina

Afina is a Chromium-based antidetect browser built for multi-accounting, automation, and running a lot of isolated profiles at once. It goes further than most on the network side: alongside HTTP and SOCKS5 it routes UDP and QUIC traffic through the proxy, which plenty of antidetect browsers cannot do. Give each profile its own FleetProxy IP and every account gets a clean, separate network identity.

Full Afina setup, start to finish

What You Need

  • An active FleetProxy plan (residential rotating, static residential, mobile rotating, or datacenter)
  • Afina Browser installed and signed in
  • Your proxy credentials from the FleetProxy dashboard

Not sure which proxy type fits? Rotating residential works for most multi-account setups, while static IPs suit accounts you keep long term.

Get Your FleetProxy Credentials

Every Afina profile needs a host, port, username, and password. Here is where to find them in the dashboard.

  1. 1

    Open Active Proxies

Log in to the FleetProxy dashboard and click Active Proxies in the left sidebar. It lists every plan you already own.

  2. 2

Manage the plan you want to use

Find the product you are connecting, then click Manage. Each product has its own host and ports, so pick the one you actually plan to route traffic through.

  3. 3

    Generate and copy your proxy

Open the Generator tab. Choose country, state, city, or ISP if you need a specific location, pick HTTP/HTTPS or SOCKS5, then set rotation to Random IP or Sticky IP. Your credentials appear on the right, ready to copy.

Afina Proxy Setup, Step by Step

  1. 1

    Add a new account

Open Afina and click Add Account. Afina calls browser profiles accounts, and each one keeps its own fingerprint, cookies, and proxy.

  2. 2

Set the fingerprint on the General tab

Name the profile and choose the operating system. Afina builds a matching fingerprint on the right, covering user agent, WebGL renderer, CPU cores, and screen size. Click Generate new fingerprint if you want a different one.

  3. 3

Open the Proxy tab and enter your FleetProxy details

Switch to the Proxy tab and choose Set proxy. Pick HTTP, SOCKS5, or HTTPS as the Proxy Type. Put your gateway in Host (residential.fleetproxy.io for residential rotating) and the matching port in Port (12321 for HTTP, 32325 for SOCKS5). Paste your username into Login and your password into Password, then click Check proxy to confirm it connects.

  4. 4

    Save and start the profile

Save the account. It shows up in your Accounts list with a Start button. Click Start and the browser opens running entirely through your FleetProxy IP.

If you are using static residential (ISP) proxies

For static residential (ISP) proxies, skip the gateway domain. Put the IP address assigned to you in the dashboard into the Host field instead, then use port 50100 for HTTP or 50101 for SOCKS5. Login and Password do not change.

Verify It Actually Works

Open httpbin.org/ip inside the launched profile. The IP it returns should be your FleetProxy address. If you see your own IP, the proxy did not apply, so reopen the Proxy tab and recheck the type, host, port, and credentials.

You can also run the address through our IP lookup tool to confirm the country and provider, or use the proxy tester to check the connection responds before you start working in the profile.

Troubleshooting Afina Proxy Errors

Check proxy fails

Re-copy the login and password from the dashboard, since a trailing space is the most common cause. Then confirm the Proxy Type matches the port, because a SOCKS5 port on an HTTP setting will not connect.

The profile opens but pages will not load

Try the other protocol, HTTP instead of SOCKS5 or the reverse. Check the proxy is still active in your FleetProxy dashboard and that you have bandwidth left on the plan.

Profiles are getting linked together

Each account needs its own IP, not one shared across several. Also line up the timezone and language of the profile with the country of its proxy, since a mismatch there is easy to spot.

Still getting blocked once everything connects? That is usually an IP reputation problem rather than a setup problem, and our guide on avoiding IP bans covers what to change.

Afina Proxy Setup FAQ

Does Afina Browser support SOCKS5 proxies?

Yes. The Proxy tab offers HTTP, SOCKS5, and HTTPS per account, and Afina routes UDP and QUIC traffic through the proxy as well, which many antidetect browsers do not handle.

Can each Afina account use a different proxy?

It can. Proxies are set per account, so every profile browses from its own IP. That separation is what stops multiple accounts from looking related.

Which proxies work best with Afina Browser?

Residential rotating suits volume tasks that need fresh IPs, while static ISP addresses suit accounts you keep long term. Mobile IPs are the strongest option for mobile-first platforms.

Is Afina Browser based on Chrome?

It is built on Chromium, so pages render the way they do in Chrome while each account keeps its own fingerprint, cookies, storage, and proxy connection.
