How to Set Up a Proxy in AdsPower
AdsPower is one of the most used antidetect browsers, especially for teams running ad accounts and social profiles at scale. Every profile carries its own proxy, fingerprint, and cookies. Give each profile a FleetProxy IP and each account looks like a different person on a different machine. The proxy fields sit in the General tab of the profile, and the whole thing takes a few minutes.
Full AdsPower setup, start to finish
What You Need
- An active FleetProxy plan (residential rotating, static residential, mobile rotating, or datacenter)
- AdsPower installed on Windows or macOS
- Your proxy credentials from the FleetProxy dashboard
Not sure which proxy type fits? Rotating residential works for most multi-account setups, while static IPs suit accounts you keep long term.
Get Your FleetProxy Credentials
Every AdsPower profile needs a host, port, username, and password. Here is where to find them in the dashboard.
- 1
Open Active Proxies
Log in to the FleetProxy dashboard and click Active Proxies in the left sidebar. It lists every plan you already own.
- 2
Manage the plan you want to use
Find the product you are connecting, then click Manage. Each product has its own host and ports, so pick the one you actually plan to route traffic through.
- 3
Generate and copy your proxy
Open the Generator tab. Choose country, state, city, or ISP if you need a specific location, pick HTTP/HTTPS or SOCKS5, then set rotation to Random IP or Sticky IP. Your credentials appear on the right, ready to copy.
Host and port for every product
| Product | Host | HTTP / HTTPS | SOCKS5 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Residential Rotating | residential.fleetproxy.io | 12321 | 32325 |
| Mobile Rotating | mobile.fleetproxy.io | 5000 | 5000 |
| Datacenter Rotating | datacenter.fleetproxy.io | 9000 | 9000 |
| Static Residential (ISP) | Your assigned IP address | 50100 | 50101 |
AdsPower Proxy Setup, Step by Step
- 1
Create a new profile
Open AdsPower, go to Profiles, and click New Profile in the top left. Each profile is one isolated browser identity, so make one per account you plan to run.
- 2
Fill in the proxy fields and run Check Proxy
Scroll to the Proxy section of the General tab. Set Proxy to Custom, pick HTTP or SOCKS5 as the Proxy type, then put your gateway and port into Host:Port (residential.fleetproxy.io and 12321 for residential rotating over HTTP). Add your credentials to Proxy username and Proxy Password, then click Check Proxy. A passing test reports the live IP with its country, region, and city, which is your confirmation the connection works.
- 3
Save with OK, then open the profile
Click OK to save. The profile appears in your Profiles list, and clicking Open launches it running through your FleetProxy IP. Before you use it heavily, set the timezone and language to match the proxy location, since a US IP paired with a European timezone is an easy mismatch to spot.
If you are using static residential (ISP) proxies
For static residential (ISP) proxies, put the IP address assigned to you in the dashboard into Host:Port instead of a gateway domain, then use port 50100 for HTTP or 50101 for SOCKS5. Username and password stay the same.
Verify It Actually Works
The Check Proxy result already tells you the exit IP and its location. For a second opinion, open httpbin.org/ip inside the launched profile. The address it reports should be your FleetProxy IP, not your own.
You can also run the address through our IP lookup tool to confirm the country and provider, or use the proxy tester to check the connection responds before you start working in the profile.
Troubleshooting AdsPower Proxy Errors
Check Proxy returns an error
Copy the credentials again straight from the dashboard, since invisible spaces at the start or end of a field are the usual culprit. Then confirm the Proxy type matches the port: 12321 goes with HTTP, 32325 goes with SOCKS5.
Ad accounts get flagged after setup
Give every ad account its own IP, never a shared one. Match the profile timezone, language, and location to the proxy geography. Static residential or mobile IPs hold up better here because the identity stays consistent.
Cannot open several profiles at once
Check the profile limit on your AdsPower plan first. Then confirm you have bandwidth left in FleetProxy, because every open profile uses it while browsing.
Still getting blocked once everything connects? That is usually an IP reputation problem rather than a setup problem, and our guide on avoiding IP bans covers what to change.
AdsPower Proxy Setup FAQ
How do I set up a proxy in AdsPower?
Create a profile, scroll to the Proxy section of the General tab, set Proxy to Custom, choose HTTP or SOCKS5, then enter the host, port, username, and password from your dashboard. Click Check Proxy to confirm it connects, then save with OK.
Is AdsPower good for running ad accounts?
It is one of the most popular choices for exactly that. Each profile stays isolated, and a separate IP per profile keeps ad accounts from being tied to one another.
Which proxies keep AdsPower accounts safest?
Clean residential or static ISP addresses are the safer bet. The important part is one dedicated IP per account plus a fingerprint that matches its location.
Does AdsPower support SOCKS5?
Yes. Select SOCKS5 as the Proxy type and use the SOCKS5 port for your product, which is 32325 on residential rotating and 50101 on static ISP.
